We’re live! Our debut full-length is available everywhere digitally, and on vinyl and CD at our store, where it’s tucked in alongside some rad t-shirts. Take a look people! The LP, especially, is beautifully packaged and a wonder to behold. We’re very excited to share this new music.
Here’s our debut video from Somewhere You Found My Name, Zack Taylor’s stunning treatment of “The Slowing and the Start.” There’s a bit in there from Erika about “cosmological freakout”, too. Freak out!
And here’s a beautiful video for the title track of the album, created by Lucia Grillo / Calabrisella Films.
“The Luckiest Thief”, the opening track from Somewhere You Found My Name, is in some great company on a mix of songs from Blue Ridge Outdoors. Have a listen here!
We’re celebrating the release of Somewhere You Found My Name with a big to-do of a show at Littlefield in Brooklyn on Wednesday July 26th! We’ll be playing with Bodies Be Rivers and Great Lakes, and tickets are available here. And Little Silver’s ranks grow 25% for this show (and shows this fall) with the auspicious addition of Kevin Brady on keys and guitar. This is gonna just be plain awesome. Come!

We’re thrilled to be kicking off our publicity campaign for Somewhere You Found My Name with All Eyes Media! They’ve represented many of our heroes through the years, and starting today are circulating some good words about the album (as well as some pretty pictures taken by Addie Juell!). Have a look at the new bio and press release here.
Our album comes out this summer, and we are partnering with a bunch of artists to create a slew of totally super expressive and illuminating music videos to accompany the release. This post is not about those videos. This post is about us setting up an iphone in a corner of our small apartments about once a week, and playing songs from the album, no frills, no funny stuff. Or maybe minimal funny stuff. Have a look at the growing collection we’ve got on our Photo & Video page.
Anais Mitchell joins Steve and Ray for the February edition of the Three Ring Bender at Threes Brewing. The acclaimed songwriter, and the mastermind behind the wondrous musical Hadestown is a special addition to the Bender constellation, so come check this one out! For reals. Radiohead, Elvis Presley, Doc Watson, The Association, and of course Anais’ own work, is all on the setlist. Details on our Shows page.
We’re playing a stripped down duo show at the home of our good friends Kira Smith and Pete Sinjin on December 2nd. Pete will play a few songs to start, then we’ll play a set, then we’ll do some stuff together. Everyone will BYOB. Friends and neighbors and strangers will fill a home with music. There’ll be stuff to eat. The world is complicated right now. We won’t attempt to fix that, but we’ll have a good time singing for all those interested. Full info is here. Join us!
